The creation process is a delicate one. Through all the chaos in my mind, I find peace in the rhythm of my writing. As many put it, organized chaos. Forever grateful I am to be blessed with a passion that brings joy, tears, questions and sometimes answers. Combative thought processes eager to be enlightened but many times I retreat. Seeking brings forth a heavy burden on the heart, seeking for truth and love. Not to disregard The Almighty because all truth is in Him. I am speaking of a path that one travels to find happiness. I honestly think happiness is having peace. Having a peace of mind and heart would mean that the issues of life would no longer bring wear and tear as it once did. The anxiousness of growing older and leaving tasks uncompleted would be greeted with a simple "I did my best and gave my all"...no worries attached to it. Why does one make a simple thing complicated? I will never know. Peace, I speak peace...

Loner By Nature

Word. The title is me and I am that title. I started this entry in a haze, where I had a nice lump of thoughts to type down, and as the time passed I became too lazy to fulfill this quest. But I read a fellow artist blog which is so amazing to me. His knack to tie poetry with his with randomness is so dope to me. Inspiration is contagious. Sometimes I don't understand why I gravitate towards things the way I do, but one thing for sure is that I love when people are authentic, even if what they say or do is brash...they do not hide it. Now as for me, I am very private. I excel at being low-key and find an awkward attraction to solitude. I always have a fear of becoming some sort of hermit but I feel this music could prevent that from happening...who knows. Ah social anxiety and all it's tortuous beauty sure knows how to make a problem out of no problem. Forming relationships are an obstacle but I'm at the point where I do want intimacy and a companion. What am I waiting for? Actually I'm not waiting, I just rather fate bring it all together naturally. I will say when I want something I will get it. *wink* Eh that wasn't charming at all lol. Anyways the whole point of making a blog was to reveal more about myself which I find hard to do either way. I rather just post album covers and links to my music but how boring and selfish is that? Especially if there is a listener that wants to know more. I take it into consideration all time. I didn't forget about you, I just hope you forgot about me.

Hey Hey World! I just dropped a compilation which features my sensual side :) Soft, Sensual and Explicit! Yet creative and artistic. I always wanted to drop some music that people could make babies to. Well at least I tried lol. This features songs that were recorded I'll say over a period of 3 years. An artist should always be able to display all sides of him or herself. I'm known to do "conscious" raps or more raw lyrical tracks. BUT that is what others know me as, I do not believe in putting myself in a box or carrying a certain label. If I could do rock music, I would do that as well. WOW....Just Wow AGAIN!!!

How does one not update a blog in 2 years?!?! Terrible. I know...I know. Since then I had a lot going on. I will say an over abundance of music which is great :) I thought I lost my password to this blog only to discover...I remembered it on first try. Excuses Excuses. So what shall I say. It is 5 something in the morning...my eyelids aren't heavy....yet. I've been in vampire mode the last few months.

Ok I will say why I have avoided updated the blog. 1. Lazy 2. Literally zero readers LOL, I mean for real who is interested in my ramblings. 3. Uuuh not sure yet.

But Music can fill all of that empty space. Hey I type in broken/disconnected thoughts so I hope I don't confuse you. I read my older entries. I need to take time and write like that again.

*SMH* So I thought since I started this blog that I would be super active with it, it did appear that way in my mind..... well I guess I lied to myself. But I'm going to stay on the positive side and begin fresh and anew, yep! While on my haitus, I've battled with my health...took me on an emotional roller coaster like no other, regained the passion back that I was missing, created some new goals (true procrastinator to the heart though!), shed a few pounds, stumbled upon some dope music. About to get my first car( a hoopty, but gonna cheirsh it like its my first child lol). Hmmmm let me think about what else, oh chea want to go back to school (again!). I'm feeling real brave right now and I want to cut my hair. But that changes every five mins lol. But these chicks are rocking it well.

Oh yeah and let me say this Chrisette Michele's new album "Epiphany" is fire!! Would love to work with her one day.

A Long Time Coming

What up world,

Optimistic, extremely nervous and excited. After the getting word that my debut album is finally completed, my emotions are at an all time high. I have been making this album for a while. I would say atleast three to four years. Battling with the highs and lows of staying dedicated to this project was a great turning point. Driven by inspiration of day to day life from old records, politics, love, religion, personal situations, reality, fantasy, heartache, doubt and hope. These are the things that push me to write what I write. Even with wrtiers block constantly aorund the corner, that pressure creates good music. I can actually hear the growth artistically between tracks, which in itself is an accomplishment. With that said I am my worst critic, so improvement will always be on my "to do" list. My debut is of course of my baby and my introduction to the world. Giving birth to my thoughts, ideals, dreams, everything that is that shapes and molds my character. Even when my direction and focus changes artistically, the music is still the same...from the heart, nothing less.

I am very excited to put this out there, no matter what the repsonse is, I'm proud of it. And I could never forget about my partner in crime, my fam, my homie Al Dumaurier who not only produced and mixed the whole project but also blessed several tracks with his verses. I love the chemistry musically. A truly gifted producer that is definitely on the come up and who is going to open up doors for his peeps too. Major props to him. Dreams are a universal expression of ones inner desires but what makes them become reality...well that's up to the individual. My dreams are a collage of illustrations from the heart. Joy, peace, love, pain, change, family, friends, music and the most significant centerpiece of my life...God. I love to write, though we have a love/hate relationship, were usually on good terms. Writing spills the unbearable pains and brings life to the unexplainable joys so to speak. At least for me it does. Sometimes its difficult to express ones feelings openly, for the fear of offending someone or exposing too much truth, or rejection of ones ideals, but the great thing about ink is it doesn't put up any walls its just a channel connected to the heart, mind and soul. This connection isn't complete though without Words. That is how it all begins...in my eyes. I've been writing for some years now, nine to be exact. A summer baby born in 85'. You can calculate the age, minus nine years from that and you have when I begun. Though I started out as a storyteller(short stories) I presently write mostly lyrics/rhymes and lace them to instrumentals that mirror the mood of my thoughts. That is an art within itself, which is Hip Hop and my love for her can described in one word...Real. Even though she changes rapidly with the times,her foundation is still the same...built on the expression of the struggle. Whether it's party music, conscious, street, abstract, commercial, or underground it all traces back to its roots. That's what I like about it. Would I refer to myself as a rapper? No. A poet? Yes. An artist? Absolutely. An MC? Most definitely.

I'm a young woman in search of her dreams amidst all the confusion in a tainted world. I'm a visionary, a student of Christ, and a child of the Living God. Most importantly I am...Me. That's all I can be...is me. ~EnSilence
